A panel session on “How Niger Delta Communities Can Lead Change” narrates the need for communities to be involved because multi-dimensional solutions are needed to tackle climate issues. Also, for communities to demand for impact assessments.

A major highlight was the Youth Hackathon Pitch Session, where young innovators showcased local solutions to address climate challenges in our communities such as embracing renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, water recycling, flood control, mangrove restoration, agro-innovations, using local media to change mindsets, individual commitments to smart environmental practices, empowering children through animations. Their creativity, passion, and determination show that every voice in the room matters in shaping sustainable climate actions.
