EU-ACT Bench Marking Club, Group Three’s 4th Session Focused on the Gains, Achievements and Challenges of the Peer Learning/Review. Giving Justifications On Why The Program Should Be Sustained And To Outlive The EU-ACT Programme.

Group 3 Peer Learning Session which was attended by Chukwu Ikechukwu & Diepiriye Queen of CHHELD on 29th July 2022 at Kebetkache’s Women Development Centre. The topic discussed was: Sustainability of the Peer Review Section.

Mrs Patience Ekong made a presentation consigning Peer Learning Sections, the Gains, Achievements and challenges from attending previous peer learning sections. According to her, through the previous peer learning sections she was introduced to a non-activity report template for projects, which is now used by her organization. Chukwu Ikechukwu talked about he’s benefits from networking which was made possible through the peer review sections organized by British Councils EU-ACT.  He has also been opportune to learn about the VAPP law.

Diepiriye Queen talked about benefitting from one of the peer review sections organized by British Councils EU-ACT which was centred on collaboration and co-operation of CSOs. As that has taught her organization (CHHELD) on the need to partner with other organizations.

Consigning challenges;

Chukwu Ikechukwu talked about the dates for peer learning sections clashing with other personal activities.

Patience Ekong stated her consign on the absence of other CSOs during the peer review sections

ACTION POINT

Peer learning sections should be sustained. Through Cooperation from other organizations to sustain the peer review sections.                                              

RECOMMENDATIONS

•All organizations will have to take peer learning sections more seriously. By attending meetings or sending representatives.

•Hosting organizations should provide light refreshments.

The agreed date for next meeting was 26th August 2022.
